The working principle of the rectifier bridge DB157 is to combine four rectifier diode chips by bridge connection. The two diodes work in each half cycle of the circuit, so that the load circuit can obtain stable power for long-term operation.

The rectifier bridge is a kind of full-wave rectification but more stable and convenient than simple full-wave rectification.

The working principle of the rectifier bridge DB157 is as follows: in the positive half cycle of u2, D1 and D3 are turned on, D2 and D4 are turned off, and the current is returned from the upper end of the TR to the lower end of the TR via D1→RL→D3, and half of the load RL is obtained.

In the negative half cycle of u2, D1 and D3 are cut off, D2 and D4 are turned on, and the current is returned from the lower end of the Tr secondary to the upper end of the Tr via D2→RL→D4, and the other half-wave rectified voltage is obtained on the load RL.

The result is: on the load RL, a voltage waveform identical to full-wave rectification is obtained, and the current is calculated in the same way as full-wave rectification, ie UL = 0.9U2IL = 0.9U2/RL average current flowing through each diode is ID = IL /2 = 0.45 U2/RL.
